This is not a history lesson!

In the beginning, humans were free to roam and live as they wished. Of course, there were risks and they had to be very self sufficient. They hunted for their food and for hides and pelts to keep them warm and protected from the elements. They were free, but sometimes as the hunter they became the hunted. Quite often they became victims of the very beasts they hunted. Another danger was other humans that would attack them and take away the bounty they had hunted so hard for. But they were free.

As time passed some of the stronger and more aggressive drew to them others and formed a tribe or small army. They then became the protectors of the weaker and less aggressive. But,it was at a price. They laid down rules, formed territories, and told the people under them where they could hunt. When the day ended, the hunter would now bring his bounty to the leader, who would take the largest portion and give back to the hunter his share. The hunter's share was much smaller than the share kept by the leader. This, of course, was so the hunter could feel safe and secure. But, now he was no longer free.

As human-kind progressed, they learned to till the land, grow crops and tame beasts into herds. The tribal leaders now became huge landowners and used the masses or serfs to work the land and tend the herds. The masses received a place of shelter and a small share of the crops as well as things produced by the herds. They were safe and protected, but they were not free.

The agricultural age moved on into the industrial age. Many inventions came into being, making human life easier and better. Huge factories were built to produce the products of the inventions. The masses were employed on the production lines. They were given health and retirement benefits. They lived better. They were

Then, along came Silicon Valley and the computer. A great new world was being created. People could use their PC's to play games, communicate with others and do all manner of things.

Now - the World Wide Web is born. People can communicate with others anywhere in the world. On the Internet we are equal, regardless of race, creed or gender. E-commerce was created and the masses can compete with the giants.

Even as an associate or affiliate you can work with whatever program you choose - you can work when and how you wish. You can earn as much as your abilities will allow. The more you work and the more you learn, the more you will earn. You are almost be free!

The next step is to create your own product - develop your market or niche. Pour your heart and soul into it, and see it succeed. You will be nearer to being free.

When will you be truly free? When you realize that the person to whom you are marketing is a living, breathing flesh-and-blood individual. One who has hopes and dreams the same as you. Someone who wants to trust you and be given their chance to succeed. And when you commit yourself to treating everyone in an ethical and honest manner -- when you can look at yourself in the mirror and be sure that you have done your utmost to uphold and earn that trust, then you will truly be free!
